Woman of Titus>

Titus 2: l, KJV: “But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine;”

The word sound means 1) to be free of error, 2) fallacy, misapprehension; 3) exhibiting thorough knowledge and experience -true to doctrine [an accepted principle]; 4) to be stable, wholesome, a well-being of spirit. Interestingly, sound also relates to our hearing. Therefore, we as saints are responsible to speak soundly and to hear soundly. The sound [words, music, etc.] entering the ear-gate > “faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God”, should determine the sound coming from the mouth-gate > for of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. We are saints by the blood of the Lamb and by confessing Him as Savior and Lord. We are sound only by the Grace of God. Paul’s intent of true doctrine is revealed in Titus 2:8, “And let your instruction be sound and fit and wise and wholesome, vigorous and irrefutable and above censure, so that the opponent may be put to shame, finding nothing discrediting or evil to say about us” [saints]. Then he expresses it in 1 Timothy 6:3-4, “If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing…”
